Rydel Lynch began her professional acting career in 2008, when she appeared as a Crossroads Choir Member in the musical film Sunday School Musical. She can be seen dancing with her older brother, Riker Lynch, in the film. She also appeared in a number of commercials during this time. She and her younger brother Ross appeared in a Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 commercial. She was also seen in a Sears commercial alongside Vanessa Hudgens. They began by creating a YouTube channel and posting the web series R5 TV, which documents their daily lives. R5 signed a deal with Hollywood Records in April 2012. The following month, they embarked on their first tour, dubbed the West Coast Tour, during which she performed a cover of Call Me Maybe. On February 19, 2013, the band Loud released their debut EP.
