Ron Corning, American television host . He worked as the morning anchor at Dallas, Texas’s ABC station, WFAA, for eight years. He co-anchored Daybreak, the station’s morning broadcast, and served as Midday’s lone anchor during the hour-long noon newscast.

Career
He began his broadcasting career as a reporter and anchor for WDTV (CBS affiliate in Bridgeport, West Virginia) and WBOY (NBC affiliate in Clarksburg, West Virginia). He was later hired by WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio, where he performed similar reporting duties before moving to Fox station KTVI in St. Petersburg. Louis, Missouri. From there he continued his Fox affiliation at KCPQ in Seattle, Washington. Corning burst onto the national stage as the host and anchor of “The Daily Buzz,” a morning news program that aired across the country on various affiliates of UPN and WB TV (now The CW). Corning co-hosted “World News Now” and “ABC World News This Morning” from 2004 to August 2006. In 2006, while he was at ABC News, People magazine named Corning one of its “Best People.” That same year, MSN named him “Best Presenter”.
On August 28, 2006,Corning joined Jodi Applegate as host of Good Day New York on Fox’s flagship WNYW. The network chose not to renew its contract. Make room for Fox News Channel reporter Greg Kelly, son of New York City Police Chief Ray Kelly. On September 17, 2008, Applegate was also released from the station. In November 2009, the duo co-hosted an evening program on Cablevision’s News 12 Long Island. Applegate left News 12 in October 2010. In April 2011, Cornyn replaced Chris Flanagan as host of WFAA’s Daybreak.Corning left WFAA in March 2019. Corning launched its own podcast called “Morning After”, originally produced by On-Air Media, which later licensed it to produce daily programming on the CW’s Dallas-based affiliate Nexstar’s KDAF. Corning will serve as host and executive producer until April 2022. He is also one of the station’s feature writers and also works for The Dallas Morning News.
