He gets to know Emre, an Ottoman authority’s child, and meets Ana Khesarian, an Armenian lady engaged with American columnist Chris Myers. As pressures ascend during The Second Great War, Mikael gets away from the camp and gets back to his town, where he finds his family being brutally turned on. He gets back to Siroun with a gathering of vagrants to recover his loved ones.

En route, they experience a slaughter, where Mikael’s mom and cousin Yeva are killed. Chris, caught by Ottoman troopers, is delivered and extradited to Malta. Emre’s part in saving Chris is found and executed. Mikael, Ana, and the vagrants join a gathering of outcasts to ward off the Ottoman Armed force on Mount Musa Dagh. Ana and Yeva are tossed over the edge by a Turkish big guns blast, and Mikael salvages Yeva however suffocates. In a voice over, Mikael relates his reception of Yeva and their wedding party in 1942, wishing favorable luck to their families and people in the future.
