Rob Beckett is a comedian, narrator, and presenter from England. He co-hosted the ITV2 spin-off series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW! from 2012 and 2014. Beckett has been a team captain on the E4 panel game 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016 and the narrator of the reality series Celebs Go Dating since 2017. He is the host of the BBC One entertainment shows Wedding Day Winners and All Together Now.

Throughout his career, his father (nicknamed “Super Dave”) drove vans, trucks, oil tankers, and cabs. He refers to his mother, who was a homemaker throughout his youth and eventually worked in a shop, as “Big Suze.” He is the youngest of four brothers. He attended Edgebury Primary School before moving on to Coopers School in Chislehurst. From 2004 to 2007, he studied Tourism Management at Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent.

Rob Beckett Taskmaster
Beckett was a contestant and ultimately winner of Taskmaster’s third series, which aired in October 2016. Taskmaster is a British comedic panel game show produced and hosted by comedian and musician Alex Horne and Greg Davies.
Five celebrities compete in a series of challenges, with Horne serving as umpire and Davies, the eponymous “Taskmaster,” grading the work and assigning points depending on candidates’ performances. Horne developed the concept for the show for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010, and it was later adapted for television, with the first episode showing in 2015. Channel 4 purchased the show after the ninth season in 2019.

Beckett co-hosts a podcast called Lockdown Parenting Hell with fellow comic Josh Widdicombe as of April 2020. During the Coronavirus lockdown, the couple routinely interviews celebrities on the hardships of parenting. Beckett began his new 5-7 pm, Sunday Show, on BBC Radio 2 on 20 February 2022, a timeslot he shared with Paul O’Grady on the Wireless throughout the year.
Beckett, along with fellow comedian Ian Smith and former footballer Jimmy Bullard, hosts the comedy-football podcast The Magic Sponge on UK television channel Dave, an irreverent look at the life of professional footballers. Beckett narrated the E4 series Celebs Go Dating in 2016. In February 2017, the second season of Celebs Go Dating premiered, with him writing and narrating once more, this time with some international celebrities. Beckett has been a team captain on the More4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016.

Beckett co-hosted I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW!, an ITV2 spin-off of the main show, from 2012 to 2014. He hosted the show alongside Laura Whitmore and Joe Swash. In October 2015, he announced his departure from the show in order to focus on his tour. David Morgan took his position.

Beckett began doing stand-up comedy in 2009. His performances earned him third place in So You Think You’re Funny and first place in the Amused Moose Laugh-Off, as well as an invitation to appear in the Adelaide Fringe Festival in Australia.
