On May 11, 2007, it was reported that she would join the EastEnders cast as Roxy Mitchell, alongside Samantha Womack, who played Roxy’s sister, Ronnie Mitchell. Simons left EastEnders in late 2015 (the character was off-screen from January 1 to May 4, 2016), allowing her to perform in a Snow White pantomime at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre for the 2015-2016 Christmas and New Year period.
