Wockner also covered the first gay pride events in Moscow and Leningrad in 1991, as well as gay rights movements in the former Soviet Union and developing countries, as well as International Lesbian and Gay Association world conferences and international AIDS conferences.
Wockner has covered various political and social developments affecting LGBT persons in the United States, including coverage of the Democratic and Republican Party conventions, NLGJA conferences, the GLAAD Awards, and significant ACT UP demonstrations.
