Raphael Miranda is an American meteorologist and weather producer for WNBC in New York City. He began as a meteorology intern at WNBC in 2007. Miranda has been a weatherman for Weekend Today in New York since 2009, and he is the principal fill-in meteorologist for weekday newscasts.

He is a weather engineer and weather producer at WNBC-TV in New York City. Since 2009, Miranda has been the weekend weatherman for Today in New York, the weekday newscast’s prime plus weatherman, and the host of the Megaphone talk show on Saturday Today in New York. Miranda was born in Bedford Hills, New York, and graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a concentration in Latin American Literature and from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. She also holds a degree in Earth Science/Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
Raphael started working as an on-air reporter at WNBC in 2007. He has since appeared on national and local networks including MSNBC, CNBC Global, News 12 Westchester and the now-defunct NBC Weather Plus. Miranda was also working part-time as a meteorologist for The Daily Star until Weather Plus closed in December 2008. He is a member of organizations such as the American Meteorological Society, NLGJA (LGBTQ Journalists Association) and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Miranda has the National Weather Association’s seal of approval.
