This was most likely due to his mother being an artist and his father being an inventor. He moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, when he was five years old. He devoted his time to teaching English and science to inner-city middle school students. He graduated in 2001 and was chosen as the senior class member most likely to appear on Survivor.

After graduating from the Academy, Judkins relocated to Providence, Rhode Island, to attend Brown University. During this time, his primary interests were biology and anthropology. Rafe Judkins Survivor

Judkins participated in Survivor: Guatemala in the fall of 2005. He belonged to the Yaxha tribe. Rafe formed an early alliance with Gary Hogeboom, Stephenie LaGrossa, Morgan McDevitt, and Brianna Varela, but due to back-to-back immunity losses, McDevitt and Valera left. Rafe, along with three other Yaxha members, had been transferred to the Nakum tribe by the fourth episode (Jamie, Stephenie, and Lydia). They were successful in convincing a Nakum member (Judd) to vote with them, giving them a 5-3 majority on Nakum. They won the immunity challenge in episode five. Rafe won individual immunity in episode six after both teams had to vote a member out.

As the reward, he was not in danger of being eliminated, he had the opportunity to watch the other tribe during their Tribal Council, and he was allowed to give individual immunity to a player on the other team. Gary Hogeboom was his choice. Rafe and Stephenie had to solve a puzzle in episode seven to win tribal immunity. They completed the puzzle just in time, allowing their tribe to merge with a majority.

The teams merged into the Xhakum tribe in episode eight, and Rafe and Lydia worked on the team flag.Cindy joined Rafe’s alliance, and despite Rafe’s desire to vote out Jamie due to Jamie’s taunting of the tribe’s voting minority, his alliance ultimately voted out challenge threat Brandon. Rafe nearly defeated Jamie in an immunity challenge centered on navigating across bridges in episode nine, displaying his continued frustration with Jamie. In episode ten, Rafe won his second individual resistance in a test in which he needed to move through different obstacles and ropes. Rafe began to believe that he would be viewed as a challenge threat, which surprised him. Rafe accepted Jamie’s offer of a final three alliance with Judd, but Rafe became increasingly enraged by Jamie’s paranoia, and he persuaded alliance partners Lydia and Stephenie to vote Jamie out. After that, he collaborated with Lydia and Stephenie to overthrow Judd, giving Danni another chance to play the game.

Rafe’s main alliance was with Stephenie, and his strategy was to get rid of any player he thought would lose to her in the final two rounds to make sure she would take him if she won the immunity. Danni fulfilled his desire for a partner who could get him to the final two. Consequently, despite the fact that Lydia posed no threat to the upcoming endurance challenge, he orchestrated Lydia’s departure after winning the complex maze/puzzle immunity challenge. Rafe lost his focus during that challenge and was eliminated. Stephenie was defeated by Danni.

He told Danni that any promises she had made to him were no longer true and that she could take Steph to the final two if Danni wanted to after seeing a sobbing Stephenie. Danni sent Steph to the final two because she thought she might not beat Rafe in front of the jury; Rafe thought she made a good strategic move, but he was disappointed by her decision because he had hoped she would take him based on their bond rather than a promise. Rafe was the only member of the jury to vote in favor of Stephenie. Rafe had no lasting resentment for Danni because he went to a Kansas City Chiefs game with her and listed him as one of her friends after the show ended.
