From 2009 to 2013, Miner played Meg, Supernatural’s recurrent adversary and demon. The authors wanted Meg’s original actor, Nicki Aycox, to repeat the part in following seasons, but Miner was recruited for storyline reasons. The character was ultimately killed off later. Tim Janson from Mania gave Miner’s portrayal of Meg a good review, saying no one played Meg “with such dripping sarcasm.”

Similarly, Diana Steenbergen of IGN felt Miner handled the role “with vicious flair” and “[conveyed] Meg’s brutality well, right from the beginning”. As time passed, she saw that the actress “has done well taking over the role”. Miner returns to Supernatural in 2020 for the fifteenth season, playing the part of the Empty, a cosmic entity that takes on Meg’s physical appearance. Miner returned later in the season, taking over the role of the Empty. Miner appeared alongside James Franco in the Grasshopper portion of Love & Distrust. She was cast as Sgt.
