Pierre Edwards, is an American actor, director, writer, and stand-up comedian. Pierre is best recognized for his work on For Da Love of Money (2002), which he produced, wrote, directed, and starred in as Dre Mitchell. Pierre featured on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam in its inaugural season before moving on to BET Comicview.

Pierre, the son of a German mother and an American soldier, was born in Killeen, Texas. He was three weeks old when his family relocated to Germany. At the age of eleven, he returned to the United States of America and settled in Washington, D.C. He used comedy to defend himself against cultural change and bullying. In sixth grade, he was chosen for Good Morning America because of his sense of humour.
Career
During his first year, Pierre appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam and later on BET Comicview. Pierre has also appeared on entertainment programs: Showtime at the Apollo, Martin Lawrence Brings the First Amendment, and other late-night television programs. He played Nisi’s boyfriend in the 1997 film B*A*P*S, opposite Academy Award winner Halle Berry and Natalie Desselle, and in the film “2001: Tragedy in Space”, as Bill Bellamy in Def Jam’s How To Be a Gamer Nielsen He starred with. . After several small roles in The Wash and The Breaks, he wrote, produced, directed and starred in the classic urban drama For the Love of Money.
