She is connected to explorer Meriwether Lewis and comes from a family of French-Canadian origin. Arquette’s father, Lewis Arquette, went from Catholicism to Islam, while her mother was Jewish. Her family lived in a commune in rural Bentonville, Virginia, where she witnessed poverty and violence. Arquette attended Catholic school and planned to become a nun.
When she was 14, she ran away from home after discovering that her father was having an affair. She eventually moved to Los Angeles and lived with her sister, Rosanna Arquette. Arquette’s siblings also became actors.

At the age of 20, Arquette was in a relationship with musician Paul Rossi. They had a son, Enzo Rossi, who was born on January 3, 1989. Arquette married Nicolas Cage in April 1995 (they later co-starred in 1999’s Bringing Out the Dead). They split up after nine months, but acted as a couple in public until Cage filed for divorce in February 2000. She had a brief relationship with Mark Rogowski.
Arquette and actor Thomas Jane got engaged in 2002. Their daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope Jane, was born on February 20, 2003. She has an estimated net worth of $24 million.
High Desert
She appeared as Peggy Newman in the American comedy television series High Desert. The story follows Peggy, an addict who decides to start over after the death of her loving mother in the little desert hamlet of Yucca Valley, California. She makes the life-altering decision to become a private investigator.
Medium
She appeared as Allison DuBois in the American supernatural drama television series Medium. Allison DuBois, a mother of three, has the ability to communicate with the dead, predict events, and see past occurrences in her dreams. When she starts working as an intern for Phoenix District Attorney Manuel Devalos, she has a dream about a murder in Texas, which she successfully solves, convincing Devalos and others in the D.A.’s office, as well as herself and her husband Joe, that her talent is genuine.
One issue is convincing Devalos — and other doubters in the criminal justice system — that her psychic powers can offer them an advantage in solving crimes. She receives information in the form of dreams or cryptic visions, which may not always mean what they seem. The other is convincing Joe that her dreams are genuine and that she isn’t just neurotic.
The Act
She appeared as Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, Gypsy’s mother and Emma’s daughter in the American biographical crime drama television limited series The Act. The series tells the narrative of Gypsy Blanchard, who uses a wheelchair owing to an illness. Her relationship with her overprotective mother deteriorates as she grows older and demands more independence. She rebels as her mother, who has committed her life to her care, becomes increasingly possessive, controlling, and violent, especially as she attempts to explore her sexuality.
The relationship becomes much more toxic when Gypsy uncovers more truths. She grew up believing she had cancer, only to realize that she was not sick at all. Her mother, Dee Dee, successfully tricked not only Gypsy, but also her family, friends, and medical experts into believing her child was sick.
It is indicated that she has factitious disorder imposed on another, which is a behavioral disease in which a caretaker exaggerates or fabricates another person’s ailment. This disorder was originally classed as Munchausen syndrome by proxy, and it is still known by that name today. Gypsy eventually asks her boyfriend to murder her mother, and the story ends there.
