In 2003, Wu took over as weekend morning news anchor and three-day weekday reporter after Bianca Solorzano left for MSNBC. Later in early 2006, she moved to the evening weekend shifts, anchoring the 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. newscasts. Her last on-air newscast occurred in late February 2009. Wu earned a Rhetoric and Communication degree from UC Davis in 1995. She has been nominated for an Emmy and awarded the Unity Award for her efforts as host of the cultural affairs program “KCRA 3 Common Ground.”
Wu previously served as an anchor and reporter at several Northern California stations, including KVIQ in Eureka, KION in Salinas/Monterey, and KCRA 3’s sister station, KSBW in Salinas/Monterey.She currently resides in downtown Sacramento.Wu has served as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the University of California, Davis School of Law (King Hall) since February 23, 2009.
