Originally from Gaithersburg, Montgomery County, Maryland, he began performing in the Washington-Baltimore area at a young age, often performing at Wiseacres Comedy Club in Virginia. When she was twenty, she lived in Austin, Texas (and briefly in Los Angeles). As a touring artist, she has opened for artists such as Dana Gould, Jim Norton, Patrice O’Neal and Hannibal Buress. In 2010, Laughing was named “Best” at the Detroit Music Festival. In 2012, she performed at SXSW as part of the “Made in Austin” and “Weekend Spotlight” comedy shows. In the same year, she was featured among the “Repped New Faces” at the Montreal Just for Laughs Music Festival. Other festivals include the 2014 Bentzen Ball in Washington DC she. She also has a podcast called “Help Me Get Old.”

In the mid-2010s, Mullen moved to New York. She made many television and radio appearances before joining Cum Town. In the late 2010s, he was a regular guest on the Real Ass Podcast, Race Wars (hosted by Kurt Metzger and Sherrod Small), and Legion of Skanks. His creative credits include TruTV’s Comedy Knockout (premiered in 2016), Make Me Understand with Jim Norton (2016 IFC TV pilot), and 2017’s Trouble with Moshe Kasher (Comedy Central). He was also a guest on Fox News’ Red Eye program. Mullen was the host of the Cum Town podcast from 2016 until the end of 2022. On June 29, 2022, Mullen and Adam Friedland launched The Adam Friedland Show after host Stavros Halkias left the original show for this show as the successor to Cum Town. The show is hosted by Friedland and produced and coordinated by Mullen.
