Loren met actor John Travolta in February 1996 while acting as a stand-in on the set of Face/Off. Loren placed his singing career on wait in order to work with Travolta. Loren appeared in the 1997 film The General’s Daughter in a minor role. Loren chose to return to music in late 2007, releasing his debut solo album, Forever Be Cool, in June 2008. Travolta, Nikki Blonsky, Luis Guzmán, Chubby Checker, and director Tony Scott attended the release party, which was hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Mark Steines. In January 2009, his album debuted at number six on the Top 40 AC list. Loren reassessed his career as a stuntman and shifted his focus to presenting and producing cinema and television.
Dog-On Television, a DVD for stay-at-home dogs, was one of Loren’s earliest productions. O Magazine, Dateline NBC’s Pet Nation, Entertainment Tonight, and The Insider have all highlighted the DVD. Loren has also become a television personality for the magazine-style chat show First Coast Living, in addition to producing. In 2011, Nick was nominated for a Suncoast Emmy for his hosting duties on First Coast Living.
