Benton worked for the Lyndon LaRouche group from 1974 through the late 1980s, first as a political organizer and subsequently as a reporter for LaRouche’s Executive Intelligence Review. In March 1991, Benton established the Falls Church News-Press. Benton writes for local newspapers such as the Metro Weekly in addition to being the editor and primary contributor to the News-Press.
