Biography
Monique Gabriela Curnen is an actress from the United States well known for her roles in Fast & Furious, season of the Starz television series Power, and 2014 episode of the TV Series Person of Interest.

Family – Education
Her mother is from Puerto Rico, while her father is of German and Irish ancestry. She grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts, and attended Williams College, where she focused on other subjects. She spent a year after college as a full-time intern at Unity House, Connecticut College’s Minority Cultural Center in New London. She subsequently moved to New York and began taking acting classes and attending auditions.
The Unusuals
She appeared as Detective Allison Beaumont, one of the few female detectives at 2nd Precinct in the American crime television series The Unusuals. Casey Shraeger transfers from Vice to Sergeant Harvey Brown’s 2nd Precinct in the New York City Police Department. She is assigned to work with Jason Walsh, a corrupt former colleague, and is picked because of her wealthy family history. Casey enlists the help of her new partner to find Walsh’s ex-partner’s killer.
She finds other people at the station, including Henry Cole, who robbed an armored car and is recognized as Walsh’s girlfriend. The station also employs three detectives: Leo Banks, who wears a bulletproof vest to avoid death, Eric Delahoy, who has a brain tumor and hallucinations but refuses to tell anybody, and Eddie Alvarez, who considers himself a “lone wolf” and refers to himself in the third person. The series concludes with Delahoy’s destiny uncertain.
The Mentalist
She appeared as Tamsin Wade in the fifth season on The Mentalist.Tamsin Wade is a recurrent character introduced in season 5 and played by Monique Gabriela Curnen. She is an agent with the CBI’s gang division and heads a police tactical unit.
While she wants unconditional loyalty from her subordinates, she refuses to reciprocate by trusting their judgment. When Kimball Cho urges her to release Summer Edgecombe because she was not part of the counterfeiting ring (Panama Red), she refuses. Cho is extremely angered when she goes behind her back to haul in the gang leader and negotiates no charges for Summer with the District Attorney.
When Cho tries to apologize and promise that it will not happen again, she responds with a firm refusal. She clearly does not want Cho on her staff, and Cho is not willing to work for such an autocracy.
Away
She plays Melissa Ramirez in the Netflix series Away. Melissa Ramirez is a key character in the Netflix series Away, played by actress Monique Curnen. She is a former astronaut who serves as Emma Green’s Crew Support Astronaut and liaison to Earth. Melissa gave up her profession as an astronaut to raise her special needs child, but she is still there for Emma and her family. While Matt and Emma are away, she looks after Lex.
Dexter
She portrays Yelina, a maid, in the Showtime series DEXTER. She is a housekeeper at the Z Hotel, where Rita Bennett works at the front desk. Rita considers her a friend.Rita grabbed her obnoxious neighbor’s mistreated dog and handed it to Yelina’s nieces so that he may find a loving home.
Yelina was engaged to Ernesto Rodriguez, a Cuban man seeking to enter the United States illegally. Unfortunately, Ernesto went missing, and Rita begged Dexter to assist her find out what happened to him. Dexter spoke with Officer Gerard to investigate the subject of human smuggling. Ernesto’s body washed ashore on the strand, and a grieving Yelina identified it as her late fiance’s.
Dexter discovered that Jorge Castillo was responsible for smuggling Ernesto and several other immigrants. If they couldn’t pay a release fee, Jorge murdered them and left their bodies at sea, where their remains frequently washed up. Jorge died after Dexter killed both him and his wife in their auto salvage yard.
