Molly-Mae Hague 24 hours

After leaving Love Island, Hague reportedly signed a £500,000 contract with PrettyLittleThing and was hired as the company’s “creative director” in August 2021, after previously serving as a brand ambassador. Hague has also had sponsorship deals with Starbucks and launched a self-tanning range.

She was chastised in March 2021 for running an £8,000 online prize draw on Instagram that did not comply with advertising regulations for such competitions. The Advertising Standards Authority ruled she was unable to provide evidence that the winners were chosen at random and fairly.

Hague appeared as a guest on Steven Bartlett’s The Diary of a CEO podcast, which was uploaded to YouTube on December 13, 2021. During the interview, she made controversial remarks about poverty and wealth inequality, for which she was accused of being “tone deaf” and making “Thatcherite” remarks.

Hague suggested that those less fortunate than herself in their upbringing only had themselves to blame for their lack of financial stability, stating that “we all have the same 24 hours in a day”. These comments sparked outrage across the country, prompting calls for her resignation as PrettyLittleThing’s creative director. In July 2022, her Instagram post was banned for being an advertisement with that intent omitted.
