Catherine made her Lanakila debut when Steve asked her for a favor regarding his case. She also appeared in the films “Kai e’e” and “Nalowale,” where it was revealed that she was McGarrett’s girlfriend. Catherine returns from a 48-hour leave to attend the Governor’s charity ball as Steve’s date in I Helu Pu. Catherine appears as a roller derby jammer on Naki’i before accompanying Steve to North Korea a week later to retrieve Freddy Heart’s body. Catherine appears in “Ho’opio” with Steve and Danny at Kamekona’s Sumo Smash ‘Em Challenge.
She suggests that Kono inform Steve about Adam’s involvement with the Yakuza. In “Aloha, Malama Pono,” Catherine is seen on the phone with Steve at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. She claims the victims were identified as GS-8 by the Department of Agriculture. The plane was being used by the CIA to transport ghost detainees to secret locations. Steve is later given a file containing evidence of his mother hacking into the National Fingerprint Database by Catherine.
