Maronna made his commercial debut at an early age, for Scott Paper. He played the elder Pete Wrigley on Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1989-1996), as well as Jeff McCallister in the films Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992). In the first, he says the statement “Kevin, you are such a disease!” which quickly became popular. In addition, he played a teenage killer in an episode of Law & Order. Maronna appeared in a popular series of 1999 advertisements for TD Ameritrade as Stuart, a lackadaisical employee of a stupid boss whom he helps get on the internet with over-the-top zeal.
Maronna played the character again in a comedy video with Bill Clinton, which was screened at Clinton’s final appearance as President of the United States at the 2000 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. Maronna has appeared in the films Slackers and 40 Days and 40 Nights. Other credits include appearances in Sex and the City and Be Kind Rewind.
