Meghann Fahy is an actress from the United States who starred on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live, on Freeform’s drama series The Bold Type. Fahy appeared as Daphne in the second season of HBO’s The White Lotus in 2022. From 2010 to 2011, she played Natalie Goodman in the Broadway musical Next to Normal.

Her first theater role was as Dorothy Gale in the senior class production of The Wizard of Oz at Longmeadow High School. Fahy worked as a night waitress at The Grey Dog in New York City and as a nanny during the start of her career. Fahy attended open calls over the summer of 2008 and was cast as a standby for Jennifer Damiano as Natalie Goodman in Arena Stage’s production of Next to Normal in late 2008. She stayed with the cast for its move to the Booth Theatre on Broadway, where previews began on March 27, 2009. Fahy took over as Natalie’s main actress, with Marin Mazzie as her mother Diana. Fahy played the part on Broadway until January 16, 2011, when it closed. In January 2012, Fahy appeared in a one-night concert reading of Twilight: The Musical at New World Stages as Bella.  In January 2015, Fahy participated in a production of We Are The Tigers at Feinstein’s/54 Below, singing as Riley Williams.

Fahy initially debuted on ABC’s One Life to Live in February 2010 as Hannah O’Connor, a college student.  The role ended in November 2010, with Fahy reprising her role as Hannah in two episodes in January 2012. Other television appearances include a cameo as Devyn on the show Gossip Girl. In 2011, Fahy starred as Caroline Thomas, a young 1940s-era mother, in the Hallmark Hall of Fame film The Lost Valentine, alongside Betty White as Caroline in the present and Jennifer Love Hewitt as a reporter learning about Caroline’s story.  The following year, Fahy appeared as ambitious blogger Georgia in the miniseries Political Animals and as Olivia DiFlorio, tutor-turned-girlfriend of the main character’s son, in Necessary Roughness.

Fahy was hired as Daphne Sullivan, a woman vacationing with her husband, in the second season of the HBO drama series The White Lotus in February 2022.  She had tried out for the role of Alexandra Daddario in the first season of The White Lotus. Her performance in the second season was lauded, with Vanity Fair declaring Fahy the “breakout” star of the series’ second season. The Guardian’s Adrian Horton praised Fahy, saying that “Fahy’s performance elevates her [character] from dimensional to thrillingly unpredictable and inscrutable.” Fahy and her castmates won a SAG Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Drama Series in February 2023.
