Megan was interested in journalism from a young age and recalls watching the evening news with her parents before dinner. Her first job was as a bureau reporter at KHSL-TV in Redding, California. She worked almost every shift, from reporter to producer to morning anchor, and she was the evening anchor for three years. Megan joined WTVQ-TV in Lexington, KY in January 2004, where she anchored the evening news before joining 5 Eyewitness News in May 2009. Megan gets up early to bring you the news from 5:30 to 7:00 a.m. on 5 Eyewitness News. She also serves as a co-host on “Minnesota Live.”

5 Eyewitness News Mornings was honored in 2016 for its coverage of music legend Prince’s death. In 2016, she received an Emmy for her breaking news coverage of Minneapolis Police Officers being cleared in the shooting death of Jamar Clark. Megan spent thirteen hours straight anchoring on the crash of Comair Flight 5191, which killed 49 of the 50 people on board. For this coverage, the station received a National Edward R. Murrow Award. Megan has volunteered with Shriner’s Hospital for Children for many years, participating in Camp Achieve and the Shriner’s Prom. Throughout the year, she emcees a variety of events for various groups and organizations in the Twin Cities.
