He appeared as Finley “Finn” Polmar from the seasons 5 to 6 of the American legal and political drama television seriesThe Good Wife. Finn Polmar, who first appears in the sixteenth episode of the fifth season, is the Assistant State’s Attorney who prosecuted Jeffrey Grant, who was being represented by Will Gardner. During a gunshot in the courtroom, Finn is injured while attempting to save a dying Will.
As Finn heals from his injuries, Alicia seeks him out in search of answers following Will’s death, and even acts as Finn’s lawyer when the State’s Attorney’s Office attempts to frame him. In the sixth season, he is an Assistant State’s Attorney working against Florrick-Agos to bring down one of their most important clients, drug lord Lemond Bishop.
Midway through the Sixth Season, Finn leaves the State’s Attorney’s office to start his own business, and he defends Alicia in her exit discussions with Cary and Diane, though he accepts Alicia’s invitation to work with her. Finn’s sister died as a result of a heroin overdose, and he is divorced with a son. Finn tells Alicia that he and his wife have experienced a miscarriage. Finn’s character was supposed to help fill the void created by Will’s death, however he left the program after season six.

Rachel Argyll, a wealthy heiress, is discovered killed in her home alongside her husband, Leo, their adopted children, and their maid, Kirsten Lindquist. Jack is apprehended but murdered before he can stand trial. Leo is about to marry his assistant Gwenda Vaughn, but Jack has an alibi thanks to Arthur Calgary, who claims to have been working in the Arctic since the murder. Philip Durrant, Mary’s husband, advises they collaborate to extort money from the family. Calgary declines, but pledges to clean Jack’s name. Bellamy Gould, the police investigator who investigated Rachel’s murder, is killed in a car accident. Calgary admits to lying about his history and fleeing a mental institution. Durrant is slain by the killer, who kills him by overdosing on drugs.
