Matthew Glave The Shield
He appeared as Mike Holden, a firefighter, and had a police officer friend named Lou and the husband to Julie Holden during Season 2 of The Shield. Mike Holden murdered six women, including his wife, Julie, at a Los Angeles women’s shelter. He had previously been arrested for soliciting prostitutes, being drunk, and behaving disorderly. Charges against him were dropped on technicalities each time because his friend Lou intervened. Mike began a relationship with Dorea Pinchuk and would select other prostitutes so that one of them could babysit his young son, Mikey, while he had sex with the other. Mike called his daughter Connie and asked her to look after his son Mikey while he had sex with Dorea in another room.
When he saw Detective Vic Mackey outside, he kidnapped Connie. Vic attempted to negotiate with him, but he became violent. He then decided to lay down his weapon, and Mike allowed him to enter the apartment. As Vic entered, he tried to reassure Mike by telling him that he understood how he felt because he also missed his children.
Matthew Glave Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
He appeared as Roger Browning in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode Shadows. Roger Browning joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and was eventually assigned to a facility that housed various objects, including a collection of 0-8-4s. One of these items had a Level Ten clearance level file dedicated to it, allowing only Nick Fury access to it. Browning witnessed the 0-8-4s being taken away by the United States Air Force and locked up in a Government Storage Warehouse as S.H.I.E.L.D. fell. Following the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D., Browning began selling classified information to the highest bidders, not caring whether the bidder was in it for profit or a member of HYDRA as long as it was the highest bidder.
Browning was approached about an 0-8-4 with a Level ten clearance level by Isabelle Hartley, Idaho, and Lance Hunter, who were working undercover for the new S.H.I.E.L.D. led by Phil Coulson. Coulson and Melinda May had hoped that he could be hired or, at the very least, sell his technologies to them. Browning did not bring the 0-8-4, but rather a file. However, during their meeting, Carl Creel attacked them, stealing the file and killing Browning by breaking his neck.
Matthew Glave Hawaii Five-0
He appeared as Na Hala a ka makua, the 14th episode of Season 4 in the remake version of Hawaii Five-0. Steve and Danny are kidnapped by an escaped convict who wants Five-0 to prove his innocence, while Grace gets in trouble at school for punching someone. Roy Parish is found guilty of murdering a real estate manager but manages to flee the courtroom. Parish hides in Danno’s car and holds him and McGarrett at gunpoint as Five-0 and the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) launch an island-wide search.
He drags them to a construction site to confront the key witness, whom Parish accuses of lying under oath. When the witness is not found, they look for his address. The three discover the witness dead in his home and are attacked until they are rescued by Grover’s SWAT team. During the meeting, the two are surrounded by the fake FBI agents who framed Parish, led by gangster Julian Lynch, and they kill him but are shot down before killing the daughter. Parish is later exonerated posthumously.
