In the “Broken Mirror” episode of Season One, Letscher played Vincent Shyer, a violent stalker and kidnapper. Vincent Shyer is a vicious stalker and kidnapper of the “collector” variety who made an appearance in the Criminal Minds episode “Broken Mirror” from Season 1.

In this tale, Trish and Jordan are abducted by renowned criminal Shyer as they head home from a party. After grabbing their car keys, he drags Trish to his hiding place and has her write a letter demanding ransom. Her father receives the letter, notifies the authorities, and the BAU is called in. Shyer phones the Davenport home and assists other agents in setting up equipment in the house, exposing his preoccupation with Cheryl and Trish. He continually hangs up on Gideon, which enrages him.

Shyer teases the BAU team, showing off his knowledge of them and his profiling abilities, and threatens to kill Trish if he gets hung up on again. After realizing that the kidnapper is probably an FBI agent, the BAU arranges for Cheryl to be escorted to a safe house by Shyer.
