Matt Letscher is an actor, director, and playwright from the United States well-known for his parts as Colonel Adelbert Ames in the 2003 film Gods and Generals and as Captain Harrison Love in the 1998 swashbuckler film The Mask of Zorro.

Criminal Minds
In the “Broken Mirror” episode of Season One, Letscher played Vincent Shyer, a violent stalker and kidnapper. Vincent Shyer is a vicious stalker and kidnapper of the “collector” variety who made an appearance in the Criminal Minds episode “Broken Mirror” from Season 1.
In this tale, Trish and Jordan are abducted by renowned criminal Shyer as they head home from a party. After grabbing their car keys, he drags Trish to his hiding place and has her write a letter demanding ransom. Her father receives the letter, notifies the authorities, and the BAU is called in. Shyer phones the Davenport home and assists other agents in setting up equipment in the house, exposing his preoccupation with Cheryl and Trish. He continually hangs up on Gideon, which enrages him.
Shyer teases the BAU team, showing off his knowledge of them and his profiling abilities, and threatens to kill Trish if he gets hung up on again. After realizing that the kidnapper is probably an FBI agent, the BAU arranges for Cheryl to be escorted to a safe house by Shyer.
Elle ambushes Shyer and demands that he put down the knife. Elle requests to know Trish’s whereabouts after Shyer complies. At Shyer’s hideout, Trish, Cheryl, and their father are discovered alive. The tale emphasizes the perils associated with a criminal such as Shyer, who is well-known for his capacity for FBI manipulation and profiling.
Reverse-Flash
He portrayed Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash in The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Eobard was a fan of the Flash of the twenty-first century who was fascinated by the Speed Force and the Flash’s past. In an attempt to construct his own version of the Speed Force, he went so far as to kill Thawne, a colleague. He went back in time to murder his family and make his spectacular debut as the Flash of the twenty-second century in order to stop more interference with his job. But just as Thawne was ready to be praised as a hero, the Flash of 2024 embarrassed his fan by taking center stage.
Choosing to accept his inevitable fate, Thawne vanquished Barry Allen to become the ultimate arch-nemesis. Because of his anger, the Speed Force’s negative iteration became drawn to him and used negative energy to express his intense feelings. Two speedsters named Eobard and Barry had a running feud. Barry was wiped out when Eobard killed him as a youngster, but he was rescued by the Flash of 2024. Afterwards, he murdered Nora Allen and set Henry Allen up as the culprit. Eobard was stuck in the early 21st century by his erratic link to the Negative Speed Force. After growing close to Cisco Ramon, Barry finally let him go. After joining up with his fellow conspirators to form a villainous alliance while being pursued by the Black Flash, Eobard was able to obtain the Spear of Destiny.
Legends of Tomorrow
Letscher in “The Man in the Yellow Tie,” an episode of The Flash, as Eobard Thawne.Born in 2151, Professor Eobard Thawne has a fascination with The Flash.After spending years trying to figure out how he got here, he was able to replicate the process that gave the speedster his abilities and connect to the Speed Force.But then, via time travel, he learned that he was meant to be The Flash’s worst opponent and would never be him, which made Eobard hate his idol of the past.
Turning becoming the “reverse” of the Scarlet Speedster, Eobard would then make it his life’s work to absorb as much as he could from him, going back in time to discover the era the Flash is from and discover his name. After a while, Thawne made a comeback as one of the New Reichsmen of Earth-X’s allies. He attempted to carry out the Fuhrer’s request to operate on Overgirl’s heart, which would have killed Supergirl. But the Atom stopped him, and when it became clear that the Reichsmen would lose, he turned his back on his allies.
The Carrie Diaries
He was cast in the series The Carrie Diaries, as Carrie Bradshaw’s widowed father Tom, which premiered in 2013. Carrie’s father was quite protective. As the series goes on, he becomes more relaxed. Tom is not happy with Carrie’s decision to go to Interview instead than NYU, and he cuts her off financially. In May 2012, The CW ordered a 13-episode series based on the pilot. The Carrie Diaries received a second season renewal from the network four months into its initial run, and it debuted in October 2013. The CW canceled the show in May 2014, following two seasons.
