Infuriated by his wife delivering divorce papers and his boss’s haughty demeanor, Undersheriff London enlists Minnick in an attempt to discredit Bill. Burgin is apprehended and placed under arrest.
Bill meets Genevieve, Bishop’s girlfriend, that evening and offers Cade parenting advice. Luna gets shot and suffers serious injuries while shopping for food and beverages with Joseph. London tells the media that the gunman has been arrested in an attempt to make Bill feel uncomfortable. Luna passes away during surgery due to complications, and the department is notified of his death in writing. Bill discovers the real shooter, Donald Murphy, a mentally ill man who shot Luna because he thought the man was his violent father, based only on the suspect’s statement. Bill personally makes Murphy an arrest rather than allowing his subordinates to follow and maybe shoot him. To win Minnick’s forgiveness, Joseph gives her back the necklace Luna gave her.
London urges Bill to support him for sheriff in order to avoid a messy campaign once he finalizes his divorce. While Paula and her crew are on duty at the county jail, David Browder, an inmate, and his crazy girlfriend Rose kidnap Paula and her staff and demand that Paula perform life-saving surgery on her boyfriend at gunpoint. Opting to swap some medical equipment for hostages, Bill takes the initiative and strikes a deal with Rose, defying London’s caution that he is too emotionally committed.
Homeland
On Homeland, Mark played Dennis Boyd. In addition to being a professor, Dennis Boyd is married to Martha Boyd, the US ambassador. Additionally, he assisted Sandy Bachman’s dubious interactions with ISI. Following Bachman’s murder by ISI agents, Boyd is blackmailed by the group.
Dennis Boyd teaches foreign studies at an Islamabad university. He is wed to U.S. Ambassador Martha Boyd and was surreptitiously providing Sandy Bachman, the head of the CIA’s Islamabad station, with sensitive intelligence, enabling the agency to destroy a number of Taliban installations that held significant value. Tasneem Qureishi, an ISI agent, blackmails Dennis after Sandy dies to turn him into the organization’s mole inside the American embassy.
Carrie Mathison had a meltdown after he breaks into her house and changes her bipolar disorder medication. Eventually, because of his dubious activities with Pakistan’s ISI, he was placed under arrest. He was connected to the security lapse that allowed ISI to find the embassy’s covert tunnel system. This lapse was the direct cause of Haissam Haqqani’s successful terrorist attack on the diplomatic grounds.
Boyd was taken into custody by US marines and held in the embassy holding facility after the attack was foiled. He begged for Martha’s belt, knowing that he would be convicted for treason and probably put to death. With reluctance, she gave it to him. Given that he is one of the individuals being evacuated to the United States, it is inferred that he chose not to commit suicide.
