Storyline

Storyline

Charlie, who has suffered from clinical depression since childhood, was released from a mental health care facility in 1991. Sam needs to raise her SAT scores in order to be admitted to Pennsylvania State University, so Charlie offers to tutor her. Brad arrives at school with bruises on his face after his father discovers him having sex with Patrick. Patrick is beaten up by Brad’s friends after punching him, but Charlie intervenes and blacks out. Charlie’s mental state deteriorates following the blackout. Sam is accepted to Penn State and ends her relationship with Craig on prom night after discovering he is cheating on her. She brings Charlie to her room the night before she leaves to kiss him, but he has a flashback of his aunt Helen.

Storyline

Julie reconciles with Karen, and Loryn is approached about being a background dancer in a music video.
