Harper immediately broke her mask and showed the world that she was a necromancer. While letting Vance inside, she told Jack about her past while he was pursuing her. As this was going on, she told Jack that although she might have liked him, she would set him aside for her one and only “love” because he was a hunter. When Dean showed up, he and Jack tried to convince Harper and Vance that their seeming love was a lie, but they were turned away. Harper seized the chance to flee once Vance was restrained, leaving Vance to be buried. Harper thanked Jack in a letter from somewhere else for forcing her to leave her community, but she also warned him that she intends to kill and zombify him in retaliation and to claim him as her own since she now “loves” him.
