Macon Blair Blue Ruin

He appeared as Dwight in the 2013 American revenge thriller film Blue Ruin. Wade Cleland’s release inspires Dwight Evans, a vagabond residing in Delaware, to return to Virginia. He steals a pistol and murders Wade at a nightclub. Dwight subsequently discovers in the rear of the car an adolescent lad called William Cleland, who indicates that Wade did not murder Dwight’s parents. Dwight informs his sister, Sam, that he murdered Wade, and the Clelands plot vengeance without the help of the police.

Dwight waits for the attack at the family home, where Wade’s brothers Teddy and Carl come. Teddy discloses that Wade was not his parents’ murderer, but that Wade Sr.’s father murdered his father and his mother died as a result. Teddy, who Dwight interrogates, admits that Wade was not his parents’ murderer. Dwight wrecks his truck and heads to the Clelands’ house to ambush them. He murders Carl, his elder sister Kris, and their cousin Hope before disarming William and shooting Dwight. Kris unintentionally murders Hope, but Dwight murders him. Dwight collapses on the floor, muttering that the keys are in the car.

He appeared as Gabe, a skinhead and club employee in the 2015 American horror-thriller film Green Room. Pat, Sam, Reece, and Tiger of the D.C. punk band the Ain’t Rights play in a neo-Nazi skinhead club in a remote location outside Portland. They come to two distressed young ladies, Emily and Amber, who are led away. Pat calls the cops but is apprehended, and bartenders Gabe and Big Justin apprehend the rest of the band. Darcy, the skinhead leader, resolves to destroy any witnesses and arranges for Cowcatcher to be poisoned with heroin.

Big Justin is overpowered and held captive by the band, who attempts to flee with makeshift weapons. Daniel arrives to kill the other survivors, alleging they murdered Emily, after they find a drug lab beneath the bar. Darcy discovers Daniel and Emily’s things, as well as a baseball bat with which Daniel plans to threaten Darcy into letting them go.

Daniel offers to assist the band in escaping, but is fatally shot by the bartender. Pat murders the bartender, and the entire skinhead force attacks the group. Darcy disperses the majority of the skinheads, taking Clark and Alan with him to arrange the band’s demise. Pat and Amber confront Darcy, murdering Clark and Alan in the process. Darcy is shot dead, and Pat and Amber are left waiting for the cops.
