Career

Petruny previously worked for Fox Sports Network, The Big Ten Network, CBS Pittsburgh, The CW Pittsburgh, Comcast SportsNet, CBS Boston and Kraft Sports Productions, the New England Patriots’ in-house production company. Before graduating, he created operations and hosted for Kent State University’s TV2 on Time Warner Cable, reaching 25,000 people. While still in college, Petruni joined the weekly public access program “NewsOhio” on WVIZ-TV. He also served as an announcer and announcer for Fox Sports Network’s late-night show “Final Score.” Petruni broke into the sports media mainstream in 2009, working as a Penn State football reporter on the Big Ten Network’s “Big Ten Tonight.” That same year, he co-hosted the weekly sports talk show “Steelers Saturday Night” on The CW in Pittsburgh with Bob Pompeani, Ellis Cannon and Pete Gonzalez. He served as host of the Emmy-winning weekly show Patriots All Access, which aired on CBS Boston. He also hosted the youth sports show “All the Patriots,” which aired on CBS in Boston.
In August 2013, Petruni started working as an outfielder for the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. It provides injury updates, stats, scores and highlights from NFL games, as well as live chats with players and coaches on the field or outside the locker room. He hosts Inside the Bears, a year-round newspaper on Fox Chicago, and is hosted by former Chicago Bears linebacker Anthony Adams. Additionally, Petruny will broadcast the Bears’ game day broadcasts on the same network. Petruny also has experience in public relations, social media and the web, having worked for a digital marketing company in San Diego, California.
