After school, she moved to Brooklyn, New York, where an interest in form drove her to answer a craigslist promotion from a carpenter who was looking for a partner. She spent her hours at the carpentry shop paying attention to the radio, and close to the furthest limit of her year working there, she heard Radiolab, which was then a nearby show on WNYC.
She experienced passionate feelings for the show and kept in touch with them a letter, inquiring as to whether she could chip in. She began as an understudy, going in one day seven days to answer messages and record Cds, and in the long run turned into the show’s originally recruited sound maker. RadioLab won a Peabody grant in 2010, while she was one of its makers.
