Luann de Lesseps is a socialite, television personality, model, author, and singer from the United States. De Lesseps rose to prominence in 2008 after being cast in the reality television series The Real Housewives of New York City, which follows the lives of several New York City women. In 2018, she debuted “Countess and Friends,” a cabaret show she created.

In July 2018, de Lesseps agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor charges of battery, disorderly intoxication, and trespassing stemming from her Palm Beach arrest. In exchange, the felony charge of violently resisting an officer was dropped, and de Lesseps agreed to perform 50 hours of community service, attend two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, and refrain from drinking alcohol for a year. De Lesseps was arrested and later released in May 2019 for alleged probation violations. She finished her probation in August of 2019. De Lesseps dined at Le Diplomate, an upscale Washington, D.C. restaurant, in 2021 and left without paying the bill. De Lesseps paid her outstanding bill a few days later.

De Lesseps headlined her own cabaret show, #CountessAndFriends, at Feinstein’s/54 Below in Midtown Manhattan in February 2018. De Lesseps was a Wilhelmina model and a licensed practical nurse in Connecticut. She appears on Bravo’s reality show The Real Housewives of New York City as one of the main cast members. Because she was not living in New York City at the time of filming, she was demoted to a recurring “Friend of the Housewives” role in season 6. It was announced in April 2015 that de Lesseps would return as the main cast member for the seventh season of the show.

De Lesseps appeared as a guest star on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode “Bully” in February 2011, playing a socialite who makes a gruesome discovery. Monét X Change’s podcast The X Change Rate has featured De Lesseps. De Lesseps starred in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, a Peacock-exclusive spin-off starring various Real Housewives franchise women that premiered in November 2021.
