Lori Geary, a former Emmy Award-winning political reporter, joined FOX 5’s weekly public affairs program “The Georgia Gang” in March 2019. Lori has worked in the media for decades, covering local, state, and national campaigns as well as state government. Lori joined the WSB-TV reporting team in 1997 while anchoring CNN Headline News. Lori remains active in the broadcasting world in addition to hosting “The Georgia Gang” as a panelist for Georgia Public Broadcasting’s “Political Rewind.” Her current areas of expertise include media training, media strategy, corporate communications, crisis communications, and storytelling.

Lori has been named “One of the Best State Political Reporters” by the Washington Post and “One of the Most Influential Georgians” by James Magazine. She has received several Society of Professional Journalists and Georgia Associated Press awards. She is also proud of the two Emmys and a Telly she received while at WSB-TV for her investigative work in Haiti.
