Beasley began his acting career as a resident artist at the black theater company ETA Creative Arts Foundation in Chicago. He was later hired to direct children’s shows and the main stage of the Black Ensemble Theatre. He also works as a freelance graphic designer. Beasley continues to coach and work at Second City. In 2015, he was a tour guide for the national tour company BlueCo Team of Second City. He is also a member of the development team 3peat, which created the plot for “The Blackening” (material for the 2022 film adaptation) and produced it for Comedy Central. He continued to work, and took a leave of absence in 2016 due to dissatisfaction with his job.
In 2020, he began enjoying posting funny videos on his social media account. His views on Margaret Thatcher went viral in the fall of 2020. In particular, a TikTok spoof of Mayor Lori Lightfoot (the “Lory Litefoot” character) began going viral. The film was inspired by Beasley’s disappointment with the mayor’s performance. She was hired to fill city offices. After posting a video of Lightfoot confronting Chicago Public Schools (CPS) parents and teachers,[8] she supported the teacher’s interest in a program at the Laugh Factory to benefit CPS teachers.
The Corporate Erin character, who first appeared in 2021 but was ported in late 2023, satirizes leaders who are tyrannical, micromanaging, overspending, and bad-news-delivering. One video has been viewed 9 million times on TikTok, in part because many viewers found the character familiar. She portrays Erin on “WGN Morning News”. Beasley filmed the original draft of “Chicago Med” and developed the group 3peat. She is a recurring character on the television series Southside.
