She was requested to join the CMU Public Broadcasting Center’s team, which covers Central and Northern Michigan as well as the Northern Lower Peninsula. While working as a radio producer and host of NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered, she was requested to host numerous shows on the television side of the same PBS facility. In 1992, Letitia moved from Mount Pleasant, Michigan, to Columbus, Ohio, to work at WCBE-FM. For three years, she worked as a news producer for the Columbus Board of Education’s public radio station. She returned to her hometown in 1996 to work for Hawes-Saunders Broadcast Properties, Inc. in Dayton as the News Director. After four years, Letitia was promoted to Director of Community & Public Affairs. In the spring of 2001, Letitia accepted a position as a General Assignment Reporter at WHIO-TV in Dayton, a Cox-owned CBS affiliate.
In December 2006, Letitia took over as anchor on weeknights at 11 p.m. Letitia has served on numerous boards and committees, including the United Negro College Fund/Wilberforce University Joint Campaign, the Aids Foundation, the Children Medical Center’s Special Needs Blood Drive advisory board and the Public Radio News Directorial Board.
