Red flees from the Crimson Army, only to be brought into Maddox’s room by his machinery. There, he warns her that if she keeps acting in this way, he won’t always be able to save her. When Red asks Maddox what she can do while imprisoned in Wonderland and feeling hopeless, he responds that it’s not the case and expresses concern for her future.
Maddox shows her his time machine, a Pocket Watch, and informs her that the Queen wasn’t always this way after telling him that it’s not easy to have a dominating mother. But because he loves her, he realizes that Red would have to utilize it when she was more mature and cautions her that altering the temporal framework can be risky. After that, Red gives him a hug and thanks him. Then, while he keeps sipping tea, Maddox sends Red through a tube to her room after learning that the guards are still searching for the fugitive who was damaging the streets.
He notifies the Queen of Hearts that a letter has arrived as a Royal Delivery early in the morning. Red believes her mother will reject Maddox’s suggestion that she go to Auradon and leave Wonderland, but Maddox informs her that she might have a chance after all. Red reads that the invitation is for her to enroll at Auradon Prep. To the amazement of Red and Maddox, the Queen does accept.

Sean punched Morimoto to stop him from answering as Han ran away when Twinkie diverted his attention. Morimoto and Takashi drove through the streets of Tokyo after Han, Sean, and Neela.
