Lela Loren is an American film and television actress known for her prominent role as Angela Valdes on the Starz television series Power, Loren admits in an interview that she had to wait a while to get her first audition, and that her early credits included episodes of the CSI franchise, The Shield, and Gang Related. She went on to play roles in films such as Reign Over Me and The Hangover Part III, and she continued to appear in television shows like Cold Case and Ghost Whisperer. As Danica Harlan, Loren became a series regular in the second season of the science fiction series Altered Carbon on Netflix in 2019.

Family – Education
Daniel Sharp, her elder brother, is the executive chef of a small New York City restaurant. She has one sibling. Her father was an American economist when he married her mother; her mother is of Mexican origin, graduated from college in her 40s, and became a teacher. She was raised in Sacramento, California, and then moved to a suburb of the city, while she occasionally spent her summers in Mexico, where her mother was born.
Despite the fact that her mother is from Michoacán, Mexico, Loren has said that she did not learn Spanish until she was ten years old. This helped her to interact with family members when she would visit the village where her mother was born.In 2002, she earned her B.A. in theater. She attended the Ruskin School of Acting to study performing arts as well. Loren speaks Italian, Spanish, and English fluently thanks to her upbringing and education.
Loren has always surrounded herself with a variety of pets and planned to pursue a profession in biology. Loren was a member of the men’s rowing team at her all-girls high school. Biology was Loren’s major at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She enrolled in a fine arts course “to get it out of the way” and “begrudgingly fell in love” with acting, only to be transferred to an entry level acting class when the arts class filled up. She reportedly worked on an Alaskan commercial fishing boat to help pay for her education.

In high school, she dated James, but she broke things off when she went to study law overseas, and she didn’t speak to him for eighteen years. They reconcile and renew their love after eighteen years apart.

Danica has demonstrated her intelligence, long-term planning skills, her desire and ruthlessness in achieving her goals. She wanted to be the most powerful person in the universe’s political system, but in order to do that, she had to assassinate her own father, take over as Governor of Harlan’s World, instigate a revolution, and use the threat of running out of alloy for Cortical Stacks. She managed to pull this off without anyone noticing.
