She began working as a sports anchor/reporter for CBS-affiliate KXII-TV in Sherman, Texas, in 2006. From 2001 to 2011, she worked in a variety of capacities at Fox Sports Southwest in Dallas. She accepted a position with NBC affiliate KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas, in 2007. In 2012, she relocated to San Diego to work for Fox Sports San Diego, where she served as the San Diego Padres’ field reporter and produced a weekly program. She then returned to Texas, where she worked as an anchor, reporter, and sideline reporter for the Houston Astros and Houston Rockets on Comcast SportsNet Houston; while there, she was nominated for several Emmy awards.

In 2014 and 2015, Rahimi worked as an anchor and reporter for Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and the MLB Network in Philadelphia. In October 2015, she was hired as an anchor for NBC Sports Chicago, where she currently serves as a sideline reporter for Chicago Bulls broadcasts and hosts White Sox pre- and post-game shows. Rahimi was laid off from NBC Sports Chicago in August 2020 as part of a company-wide layoff due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic at NBCUniversal. Rahimi will join long-time WSCR host Dan Bernstein on a new mid-day show called “Bernstein and Rahimi” in January 2021. She has since continued to contribute to WSCR, making appearances on “Bernstein and Holmes Show” and other shows.

Rahimi returned to the NBCUniversal family in November, a year after being laid off from NBC Sports Chicago, as a part-time sports anchor and reporter for NBC-owned station WMAQ-TV. She is currently rotating their duties in the station’s weeknight newscasts alongside Mike Berman and Jeff Blanzy, and she is currently co-hosting with Berman on the weekly sports news program Sports Sunday, replacing their longtime main sports anchor Siafa Lewis, who was hired by CBS-owned station KYW-TV as weekday news anchor the same month. Rahimi was Sports Sunday’s second female co-host, following Paula Faris. Rahimi has returned to sideline reporting duties for Bulls broadcasts on NBC Sports Chicago beginning with the 2023-24 season.
