From 2004 until 2012, she established Radio Rootz, a youth education initiative. She has previously worked for Free Speech Radio News (2006-2011), C-SPAN (2011), Radio France Internationale, CBS News (2012-2013), and CNN. During the 2008 US presidential election, she hosted Election Unspun, a daily syndicated election show.
Caldwell joined NBC News in 2014 and worked as a Capitol Hill correspondent before going to CAA in 2019. She covered the 2018-2019 US federal government shutdown, President Donald Trump’s impeachment trials, the January 6 Capitol attack and its aftermath, and four Supreme Court confirmations, including Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
