Kurt Metzger is an American stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. He is a writer and actor best known for Inside Amy Schumer (2013), Horace and Pete (2016), and Who Is America? (2018). Metzger initially did stand-up at The Stress Factory in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Although Metzger performed in the Philadelphia area earlier in his career, he first performed stand-up at the Depression Factory in New Brunswick, New Jersey; Metzger appeared on Showtime’s “White Boyz in the Hood” in 2006 and on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” the following year. In 2009, he appeared in an episode of the IFC series Z Rock. His debut album, Kurt Metzger Talks to Teens About Sex, was released in 2011 on Comedy Central Records. Comedy Central also aired the half-hour special as part of its 2009 Comedy Central Presents. In 2013, Metzger feuded with Jude Doyle and Lindy West on Facebook and Twitter while defending rape entertainment. Metzger wrote 39 episodes of Inside Amy Schumer from 2013 to 2016. She was nominated for four Emmy Awards and won an Emmy for the cartoon “Girls, You Don’t Want To.” She also appeared in many sketches of the show. Metzger was a semifinalist in Last Comic Standing in 2015; A segment he made about Mohamed Atta earned him the “Best Joke” award.
Metzger appeared on “Late Night with Craig Ferguson” on February 7, 2011. (Aaron Glaser) faced controversy due to reports of his alleged rape. Following controversy over Metzger’s comments, Amy Schumer tweeted that Metzger was no longer working on her show “Inside Amy Schumer.” Schumer later changed his statement, saying Metzger was not working for him on the show because he was on indefinite leave. From 2013 to 2018, Metzger co-hosted the Race Wars podcast with comedian Sherrod Small. In 2019, Metzger launched his own interview podcast called Can’t Get It Right with Kurt Metzger on the GaS Digital Podcast Network. In 2021, he began composing and performing skits and improvisations on Kyle Dunnigan’s show, The Kyle Dunnigan Show, and in 2022, he became a guest star on Jimmy Dole’s commentary and comedy show, Jimmy Dole has always been a member of the show.
Metzger also appeared in the second and third seasons of Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle, @midnight, The Tonight Show with Larry Wilmore, This Is Not Happening, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Comedy Knockout, and Your F@ #. King’s Deal!?!, Approved Matrix and more. In 2016, he starred in the movie Horace and Pete alongside Alan Alda, Jessica Lange, Steve Buscemi and Edie Falco.
