After graduating from the inaugural all-female astronaut class, Poole was initially chosen for Apollo 18. She was a part of the Apollo 22 crew, which was meant to remain at the Moon’s Jamestown base.
One of the two candidates to lead NASA’s inaugural trip to Mars in 1992 was Poole. Following Molly Cobb’s first selection of Ed Baldwin as mission commander, Margo Madison reversed her mind and designated Danielle as Sojourner 1’s commander. She went on to become the first female astronaut to set foot on Mars.
In 1997, after returning to Earth with the first Happy Valley base team, Poole resigned and chose to lead a quiet life. But following the disaster of the March 2003 expedition to capture Kronos, Poole granted Eli Hobson’s request to assume command of the newly established international colony of Happy Valley.[2] Poole was unintentionally hurt in a fight between security personnel and Helios employees shortly after the Asteroid Capture Mission was taken over. Despite her injuries, Poole made a full recovery and came back to Earth to see her new grandson.

In Supergirl, Marshall played Julia Freeman/Purity. Prior to Krypton’s demise, Julia Freeman, a Kryptonian Worldkiller known as Purity, was dispatched to Earth. Prior to the emergence of her Worldkiller identity in early 2018, Julia led a typical life as a musician in National City. This was brought on by a mixture of events, including Reign’s awakening and an accident in which she was crushed between two cars while attempting to save her friend.
Julia was soon taken prisoner by Reign in order to fully awaken Purity. Eventually, she joined Pestilence and Reign in their attempt to destroy Earth and turn it into “New Krypton”. However, Supergirl and Alex Danvers were able to assist Julia in defeating Purity in the last battle. Surrounded by Supergirl and Alex, Julia was mortally stabbed by Pestilence, but before she died, she took the latter out with a scream.
Julia was a good-hearted, generous, altruistic, and decent person. Even though she knew she would be killed, she pulled her friend Vanita out of the way when she noticed an out-of-control automobile heading toward them. Like when she found out Supergirl and the D.E.O. were in her house, Julia is likewise prone to fear.
Kryptonian Worldkiller Purity was. Purity was transported to Earth when Krypton was destroyed, along with Reign and Pestilence, where she was raised as “Julia Freeman”. Julia’s powers manifested after a long period of hibernation, which also “awakened” her alter personality. She later found herself in confrontation with Supergirl and the D.E.O. as a result, and Reign finally enlisted her in her cause.
