Kris Budden ( born Kristen Budden) is an American sports reporter who presently works for ESPN. Budden is well-known for his coverage of the San Diego Padres, as well as his current role as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball.

In her first job, Budden worked as a weekend sports anchor at WCAV in Charlottesville, Virginia. After a little over a year, she moved to WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she covered the Tennessee Volunteers’ athletics programs as a reporter and sports anchor. In the course of six years, Budden covered the 2012 Summer Olympics, Pat Summitt’s retirement, and the men’s and women’s NCAA and SEC basketball tournaments. At WBIR, Budden was recognized with the Tennessee Associated Press Broadcasters’ award for Best Breaking Sports News and placed second four times in the Best Sports Feature category.

Prior to joining ESPN, Kris was a sideline and feature reporter for FOX Sports, covering NFL and college football from 2013-2015.
