Gum got her first on-air positions as a news reporter and sportscaster in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Fox 18 WCCB after working as a one-woman broadcast team in Jefferson City, Missouri. In Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked as a news anchor and was dubbed the “Sexiest Woman in Charlotte.” She went on to host the following television programs over the next nearly two decades Totally NASCAR on Fox Sports Net, ESPN’s Outdoor Block, Outdoor Living Network’s Tour de France studio show (where she was the event’s first female anchor), Travel Channel’s Treasure Hunter: Gum, as well as What’s My Car Worth? on Discovery HD Theatre.
