As the team looks into two high-end jewelry robberies, Malcolm characterizes the gunman as a rogue team member. Vijay Chandasara, an insurance agent and Malcolm’s childhood buddy, interrupts them. When a performer passes away at a private event, Edrisa is asked in to look into it. She is shocked to learn that Malcolm is interested in what she is looking into. He tells her that he knows the victim and requests that she examine her attentively. Despite being incarcerated and wearing an ankle monitor, she is happy to assist Malcolm when he approaches her for assistance.
