She worked as a meteorologist for WINK-TV in Southwest Florida for three years before joining WSB-TV. Prior to joining WINK, she worked as a weather anchor at WSIL-TV in Southern, Illinois for two years. The American Meteorological Society awarded her the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation (AMS).
