She auditioned in Boston, Massachusetts, seeking a seat on the ninth season of the singing reality show ‘American Idol.’ She sang the song ‘At Last,’ which wowed all four judges. As a result, she moved forward. Kara DioGuardi, one of the judges, said at the audition that she was one of the most talented 16-year-old vocalists she had ever seen.
On March 24, 2010, she was sent to the bottom three. She made it onto the ‘American Idol Summer Tour.’ She gradually rose to become a fan favorite. She was chastised numerous times for her song selection, pitch, and age.
