In May 2011, Wakile joined the show’s third season. She was dragged into fights between her cousin Teresa Giudice and her cousin-in-law Melissa Gorga. The show primarily depicts Wakile’s reactions to her children’s maturation, her daughter’s health issues, and her desire to one day open a restaurant. Wakile feuded with Cousin Teresa in Season 3 and had difficulty getting to know Caroline Manzo due to the latter’s allegiances to the former. Wakile continues to argue with Teresa in Season 4. Her gay sister, Rosie, has also appeared on the show and gained popularity as a result of her story of being different and coming out.
Wakile also appeared in the fifth season of the show, which saw the restoration of many friendships, including Wakile’s relationship with Teresa.
