Coleman performed as a singer with the Mike Curb Congregation. Sid and Marty Kroft cast her in the 1974 film place of the Lost as Holly Marshall, the youngest of two siblings lost with their father in a strange place. It was her sole major television role, which lasted three seasons. She provided interviews and commentary tracks for Rhino’s Land of the Lost DVDs released in 2004. She and fellow Land of the Lost cast member Wesley Eure appeared in a 2009 film parodying the series, although their portions were not included in the theatrical release. She appeared in an episode of Adam-12, a police drama, in 1975. Coleman’s 2015 book Lost Girl: The Truth and Nothing But the Truth, So Help Me Kathleen, details two violent marriages as well as her adventures in music, television, and the autograph circuit. In 2017, she released a second memoir, Run Holly Run, about her time working on Land of the Lost.
