Career
Sullivan began his journalism career at CBS affiliate WSBT-TV in South Bend, Indiana, where he began working as an intern and later moved up to news anchor. In 2000, he joined KATV, Allbritton Communications Company’s ABC affiliate, in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a news anchor. In 2002, she was appointed as the host of the KATV Five O’Clock Live broadcast, and in 2003, he was also added to 6 Clock Channel 7 News. and continues his role on Channel 7’s evening news. While at KATV, Kate covered 9/11 from Ground Zero in New York and shared the stories of Arkansans who lost loved ones in the tragedy. His program Gen. Wesley Clark’s presidential campaign and the opening of the Clinton Presidential Library earned the station a regional Emmy Award. He also told several stories in Honduras about the philanthropic work of Heifer International, an Arkansas-based nonprofit.
Sullivan joined the CBS team in 2006 and hosted CBS 2 All News on WCBS-TV in New York. In addition to co-hosting CBS 2 News This Morning and CBS 2 News Afternoon with Maurice DuBois, he hosts and co-hosts the CBS Saturday Morning Show with Chris Wragge, Lonnie Quinn and Erica Hill. In September 2010, Sullivan joined WBBM-TV in Chicago and worked there until September 2015, when he left the network. Sullivan became the executive producer and host of Dinner with Kate Sullivan, which aired on PBS, PBS, and Design.
