With her five-year-old son Luca, who has a rare and potentially fatal medical condition that can only be treated with state-of-the-art bone marrow therapy in Las Vegas, she is in the US on an expired visa.
Thony works with her sister-in-law Fiona as a cleaning service employee to help her achieve this. Thony is given a position as a cleaner and a doctor within Arman Morales’ criminal organization after she witnesses a murder and is found out by the perpetrator. The job could pay well enough to support her son and her family. Thony thus starts leading a second life, hiding things from her family, tidying up crime scenes, and dodging the law.
Ingobernable
Castillo played the main role as Emilia Urquiza, the First Lady of Mexico in the Mexican political drama television series Ingobernable. Diego Nava Martinez, the president of Mexico, is the main character in the story. He unleashes an aggressive rage on his wife Emilia Urquiza the night before he dies. After some fighting, Emilia is finally rendered comatose. When she wakes up, she discovers Diego dead, his bleeding body thrown out their hotel room balcony. She had left her gun in the bedroom, but it’s in her palm now, pointing at him during their encounter. She interprets this as evidence that someone else entered the room, killed Diego, and then put her up to be the victim. She then runs from the authorities.
Bad Boys for Life
Castillo appeared as Isabel ‘La Bruja’ Aretas, Mike’s ex-lover and Armando’s mother in the 2020 American buddy cop action comedy film Bad Boys for Life. This story takes place seventeen years after Miami Police Department Detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett killed Johnny Tapia. Isabel Aretas, the widow of cartel lord Benito, and her son Armando escape from a Mexican prison. In order to get money back and kill the people who caused his father’s detention and demise, Isabel sent Armando to Miami. Now retired, Mike enlists Armando in an attempt to exact revenge; Armando later assasinates Mike. Mike receives advice from Captain Conrad Howard, who is also killed, to go forward in life.
Following Armando’s passing, Mike persuades him to collaborate with AMMO, which results in an unsuccessful surgery and AMMO’s closure. Mike admits that he was an undercover Aretas cartel employee and that Armando might be his son. In Mexico City, they confront Isabel, and a gunfight breaks out. Isabel dies as a result of Armando’s attempt to reason with his mother. Afterwards, Mike and Marcus are given command of AMMO, and Rita is elevated to the rank of captain. When Mike pays Armando a visit in jail, he offers him a new case where he can prove his worth.
The 33
She was cast as Katy Valdivia de Sepúlveda in the 2015 biographical disaster-survival drama film The 33. Because of the owner’s carelessness, 33 workers from Copiapó, Chile, were stuck in the San José mine in August 2010. They were stranded and ill-prepared for a protracted stay when the mine collapsed, blocking their path. A commander named Mario Sepúlveda rationed food and stopped bloodshed. Drilling to release the trapped miners was ordered by the Chilean government.
A successful borehole was eventually reached by the rescue chamber, despite initial failures. on let others know they were still alive, the miners affixed a message on the drill bit. Food, clothes, and television communication were sent to the surface by the government. A backup drilling method was set up to recover each miner individually. The successful rescue of all 33 miners after more than two months gave people everywhere hope and inspiration.
