Karinda Dobbins Biography

Karinda Dobbins is an American comedian. Dobbins started her work in the biotech industry. Karinda is renowned for her roles in Rainbow Bridge (2018) and Politically Re-Active (2016). She co-produces the monthly comedy show The Resistance! with Dhaya Lakshminarayanan and has routinely opened for W. Kamau Bell[1], as well as Trevor Noah, Gina Yashere, Michelle Wolf, and Dave Chappelle.

Career

Dobbins began his career in the biotechnology industry. Dobbins first performed in 2009 under a girl group at an open mic night at Woody’s Cafe, a laundromat in Oakland, California. In 2013, he opened for bands such as W. Kamau Bell and performed at venues such as the Great American Music Hall. In 2015 he starred in Auckland’s only film Gay for the Day and appeared on Put Your Hands Together, River Butcher and Cameron Esposito’s live podcast. In 2016, she performed at the 20th Annual Michigan LGBTQ Comedy Festival. In 2017, she starred in Amado’s film The Setup: Stand up Comedy in the Mission. In 2018, he was selected as a judge for Litquake’s Literary Death Race competition. He was also a special guest at the Oakland LGBT Center and Pride Film Fest’s QTPOComedy Takeover fundraiser , as well as Novvato Theater Company’s third annual comedy showcase. She has also appeared in projects such as “Woman Crush Wednesday” at the Hollywood Improv Arena.

She has been compared to Dobbins, Dave Chappelle and Paul Mooney. One of her own comedy idols is Moms Maley.
